VN Instruments specializes in air-coupled ultrasonics applications for material analysis, process control, and scientific instrumentation. We have been designing, selling, and supporting our patented ultrasonics technology for 28 years. Recently, we've been leveraging our expertise to develop novel planetary science sensors for Mars!

One of our core products is the ultrasonics analysis system called the SIA-7. The SIA-7 is a powerful and flexible ultrasonics unit. With minimal setup, it handles a wide range of applications that other ultrasonics tools just can't solve. The SIA-7 Material Analyzer System makes air coupled ultrasonics a reality for process control. Conventional contact and immersion transducers become far more effective when connected to the SIA-7.

Applications include heat seal inspection, solid fat content, acoustic anemometry, fill level in aluminium cans, delamination in carbon composites, low-pressure ultrasonics, crack detection, flow metering, saltation detection, and many more. Our technology is operating in dozens of industries around the globe, has flown to the upper stratosphere of the Earth, and will board spacecrafts to other planets in the solar system in the coming years.
