VN Instruments specializes in air-coupled ultrasonics applications for material analysis, process control, and scientific instrumentation. Recently, we've been leveraging our expertise to build novel planetary science sensors for the solar system: sonic anemometry and saltation measurements on Mars, ortho-para hydrogen fraction measurements in Saturn, infrasound detection on Venus, gardening and rocket ejecta impact measurements on the Moon!

One of our core products is the ultrasonics analysis system called the SIA-7. The SIA-7 is a powerful and flexible ultrasonics unit. With minimal setup, it handles a wide range of applications that other ultrasonics tools just can't solve. The SIA-7 Material Analyzer System makes air coupled ultrasonics a reality for process control. Conventional contact and immersion transducers become far more effective when connected to the SIA-7.

We've been designing, selling, and supporting our ultrasonics technology for 28 years. Applications include heat seal inspection, solid fat content, acoustic anemometry, fill level in aluminium cans, delamination in carbon composites, low-pressure ultrasonics, crack detection, flow metering, saltation detection, and many more. Our technology is operating in dozens of industries around the globe, has flown to the upper stratosphere of the Earth, and will board spacecrafts to other planets in the solar system.
